Wallenius Wilhelmsen ASA has announced its decision to join the First Movers Coalition (FMC), a global public-private partnership focused on scaling emerging climate technologies to decarbonize heavy-emitting sectors.
As informed, joining the First Movers Coalition allows Wallenius Wilhelmsen to collaborate with peers across the shipping and logistics industries to benefit from knowledge sharing and to build consensus on how to communicate future fuel needs to the market effectively.

The First Movers Coalition, initiated in 2021 by the World Economic Forum and the Office of the US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, John Kerry, currently has 96 members, including major companies like Coca-Cola, Amazon, Ford, Google, Rio Tinto, Microsoft, and Maersk.
The coalition aims to stimulate market demand for technologies crucial for achieving a net-zero future. Wallenius Wilhelmsen’s participation underscores its commitment to leading the industry towards a sustainable future through actionable, science-based efforts to combat climate change.
