The Container Owners Association issued industry alert regarding the filing by Hanjin Shipping for bankruptcy advising a list of owners of various types of containers (with prefixes) which were previously on lease to Hanjin.
COA has prepared this list in case you come across any equipment previously on lease to Hanjin Line. The document aims to help operators identify the rightful owner, and facilitate its return to the rightful owner.
”Please make contact with the relevant owner. Please also be aware any attempt to interfere with legal rights of the container owners is unlawful and the relevant company may respond accordingly, to enforce its rights.” COA recommends
