HMM conducts first ship-to-ship LNG bunkering at Busan New Port

As stated, HMM SKY, the first LNG-fueled containership in Korea, has successfully completed its first commercial ship-to-ship (STS) LNG bunkering operation at Busan New Port. Approximately 2,400 tons of LNG were supplied to HMM SKY as it underwent cargo handling.

This achievement enhances operational efficiency and supports the transition to low-carbon fuels, contributing to more sustainable shipping practices.

To remind, the Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) on 16 February also successfully conducted its first Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS) of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) bunkering.
