The ferry ‘Princess Anastasia’ was grounded off the Port of Stockholm, on November 6. According to initial information brief electric power interruptions were the cause of the incident. The ship has been refloated.
Namely, because the ship experienced brief electric power interruptions, while the generator restarted off the Port. However, it was refloated, and the Captain decided to return the ferry to the port of Stockholm for additional technical inspections.
During the refloat operation, the ship was helped by tugs and escorted by rescue and Coast Guard boats.
The ferry has arrived at the port of Stockholm, and it will continue on its way after conducting the necessary technical inspections and obtaining an opinion from the port authorities of Sweden.
