Dubai Customs seize 274,000 ‘Jihadists pills’

Dubai Customs seized 274,000 Captagon pills, halting a drug smuggling attempt. According to the Customs, Captagon is said to be the 'amphetamine fueling Syria's war' or the 'Jihadists' drug.' The smuggles had hidden the drugs in the fuel tank of their vessel, believing that inspectors will not search in that hot spot of the vessel near the engine which can reach up to 60 degrees Celsius.

Singapore the leading maritime capital, report notes

DNV GL in cooperation with Menon Economics published the report "The Leading Maritime Capitals 2019". The report provides insight on which maritime cities provide the best support for companies in shipping and related services. Singapore retained the first position from 15 maritime capitals. Singapore ranked first in three of the five pillars of the ranking: Shipping; Ports and Logistics; and Attractiveness and Competitiveness.

Watch: Dubai’s floating supermarket

Carrefour by the shore will be operational six days a week, also depending on weather conditions and will be capable of serving yacht customers, jet skiers and even beach goers. The floating supermarket will cater customers on jet skis, small and larger vessels. There is also an Aqua Pod application that customers can download to order online.
