Following the sinking of the Palau-flagged freight ship Arvin, a new video captured from onboard cameras shows how the cargo vessel broke in two after a huge wave off Turkey’s Black Sea.
To remind, the incident took place on January 17, when the cargo vessel “Arvin” sunk off the coast of Turkey’s Black Sea province of Bartin, amid heavy weather conditions.
In light of the situation, three crewmembers found dead, while six seafarers had been rescued (five citizens of Ukraine and one citizen of the Russian Federation).
As Bartin Governor Sinan Guner told Anadolu news agency:
“Rescue workers managed to save six crew members and reached the body of one other on the Arvin, which sank off the coast of Bartin province”.
Concluding, all rescued personnel were in good health.
