The UK’s first rubbish bin made from recycled plastic aims to encourage people reduce plastic pollution at the sea, will be presented in Blackpool next week. The project aims to prevent plastic waste ending in the sea, by making the disposal of litter a more conscious action.
The bin will be located on the Blackpool promenade, reminding to keep its beaches clean, and its a collaboration between GreenSeas Trust and Blackpool Council.

The bin will be 1.5 metres high, while it will have a nautical-theme and it will be brightly coloured. The bin will be using recycled PET plastics, thus creating something that is sustainable. Now, Blackpool becomes the first council in the UK to support such an initiative.
With more attention being focused on ocean’s plastic pollution, GreenSeas Trust aspires that the project will increase awareness and assist beachgoers be more aware of the problem.
The BinForGreenSeas will make it easy for everyone on the beach to keep it clean, and at the same time protect the marine environment.
