Watch: Autonomous manoeuvring ships trials carried out on North Sea

A series of tests took place on 19 and 20 March with autonomous operations in the North Sea, about 5 nautical miles from the coast at Den Helder. The SeaZip 3, a Damen Fast Crew Supplier 2610 'Twin Ax' was equipped with intelligent control to avoid collisions and took part in various runs of nautical scenarios to enable interaction of the ship with other shipping traffic.

Watch: New lift record set as Johan Sverdrup field centre is completed

Three days were enough to lift four of the last pieces in the Johan Sverdrup puzzle into place, namely the two final platform topsides, a bridge and a flare stack. The processing platform lift was the heaviest lift ever performed offshore. The installation and completion phase offshore at Johan Sverdrup began with installing the jacket for the riser platform in August 2017.

Grande America oil spill will not reach shore this week

According to the prefecture of Gironde, the latest estimates indicate that the oil spill from from the sinking of 'Grande America' will not reach the coast during this week. However, it warned that debris and containers could arrive in the coastline quicker. However, due to the many hazards and weather developments, the estimate of potentially affected coast points is the subject of daily assessments.
