As Business Korea noted, in the possibility that the shipbuilder seals the deal, the deal will be the first offshore plant in two years, and the first contract for a Korean shipbuilder for 2019.

The FPSO deal is equal to 21% of SHI's sales for 2018. Therefore, by signing this contract Samsung Heavy Industries could reach 29% of its order target of US$7.8 billion for this year.

In light of this contract, the shipbuilder will achieve its goal for 2019, keeping in mind that the shipbuilder faced many difficulties in 2018, and failed to attain its order receipt goal of US$ 6.3 billion.
