An explosion was reported on board the LPG tanker Syn Zania on July 1st. After the explosion a fire erupted, while one died and 15 crew members were injured and evacuated to receive medical treatment. The ship was moored at a port in Turkey.
As the video shows, fire took place on board the LPG tanker Syn Zania, while it was moored at a Turkish port. The fire was a result of an explosion.
According to sources, the incident took place as the ship was loading LPG cargo at Petkim Refinery terminal, Aliaga, Turkey, with its cause being unknown as of yet.
After the fire, shore engines and fire boats were used, with the fire eventually being put out.
However, because of the blaze one died, while 15 other crew members had to be hospitalised after being injured.
