The Danish Maritime Authority is opening a restructuring pool, to help Danish maritime companies that have lost revenue as a result of Brexit, apply for compensation of up to DKK 250,000. The pool is open until 15 November 2022.
Companies can apply for up to 50% of a company’s revenue loss, however, a maximum of DKK 250,000 and a minimum of DKK 20,000 is paid out.
The pool is DKK 100 million, which are expected to be distributed over two rounds:
- One in autumn 2022;
- One in summer 2023.
The funds originate from the EU.
The maritime restructuring pool was adopted by a broad political majority in the Folketing on 13 January 2022 , along with other pools that are to support Danish companies in adapting to new markets and in dealing with the challenges posed by Britain’s exit from the EU
