Hafnia, in collaboration with joint-venture partner SOCATRA of France, recently received Ecomar Gascogne, the first of four dual-fuel Methanol Chemical IMO II Medium-Range (MR) tanker newbuilds.
In 2023, the company had announced that it ordered four 49,800 deadweight dual-fuel Methanol Chemical IMOII Medium-Range (MR) Newbuilds, to be constructed in Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI), in China. The remaining three vessels are scheduled for delivery in 2025 and 2026.
All four ships will be time-chartered by TotalEnergies for a multi-year period.
