A fire erupted on 24 January aboard Jan de Nul’s crane vessel, Les Alizés, which was docked at the Wagenborg Terminal in Eemshaven, Netherlands.
According to reports, the fire originated from batteries on board. The crew members were evacuated during the incident, with some assisting the fire brigade in putting out the flames. Firefighters managed to disconnect and remove the affected batteries from the vessel.
By late afternoon, the situation was brought under control, and the all-clear signal was issued.
