The Busan Port Authority shake hands with Samsung SDS and inked an agreement in order to develop and operate a logistics center based in Rotterdam, Netherlands. In fact, through their contract, BPA will be responsible for the logistics hub’s establishment.
The construction of the infrastructure is expected to begin in September 2020, while is estimated to be completed and fully operational in June 2021.
Following the opening of the center, Samsung SDS from its side, will offer its comprehensive logistics expertise for 10 years, to small-sized companies which conduct business among Europe and South Korea.

For the records, present at the singing ceremony was the CEO of of Samsung SDS, Hong Won-pyo along with Joanne Doornewaard, Dutch Ambassador in South-Korea and officials from the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries.
Overall, this is not the first time that Busan Port Authority collaborates with Rotterdam. Specifically, back in 2019 BPA and Port of Rotterdam signed a contract for a five hectare site on Maasvlakte Distribution Park West.
