NAPA informed that existing users of its performance monitoring systems can achieve compliance with new MRV reporting requirements after applying updates. Therefore, users of NAPA's systems can generate automatically created annual or voyage-by-voyage MRV reports and export them as CSV files, requiring only a small process change by crew.

NAPA launched a new concept of ship performance monitoring, NAPA Fleet Intelligence, that is expected to offer high-accuracy performance monitoring for any vessel, regardless of ownership or charterer. The service delivers voyage-by-voyage analysis of fuel efficiency for any conventionally powered vessel dating back as far as January 2015.

NAPA has announced that Hyundai Heavy Industries has implemented NAPA Steel’s 3D-model-based ship structural design tool across its business. Once a single flexible model is created for the whole vessel, this can be used throughout the design process, including class society rule checks, creating plan approval drawings, FE (Finite Element) model generation, weight calculation, etc.

The fleet performance management and optimization system ClassNK-NAPA GREEN has been introduced to a newbuilding by Namura Shipbuilding. The move was spearheaded by Namura Shipbuilding based on the shipowner’s acceptance.

SUNGDONG Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, the South Korean shipbuilder, and NAPA announced that the yards structural design throughput time has been reduced by up to four weeks with the introduction of the new CAD-style 3D modelling tool, NAPA Designer.
