The BW Gemini, the first Very Large Gas Carrier retrofitted with Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) dual-fuel propulsion technology, was “lightly struck” by another vessel while in Cristóbal, Panama.

NTSB issued an investigation report on the contact of the tanker American Liberty with multiple vessels, including the Don D, African Griffon, Ever Grace, and multiple hopper barges, in Lower Mississippi River in May 2019. The investigation highlighted poor bridge resource management and miscommunication between the pilot and the master as key causes of the accident.

The Greek-flagged tanker ''Efesos'' collided with a fishing vessel off Adana, Turkey. First information reports that 4 have lost their lives, while another person is missing. 

The UK MAIB issued an investigation report on the collision of two rescue boats during training on the River Cleddau, in September 2019. The investigation highlighted that neither crew was keeping an effective lookout, and so lacked awareness of the two boats’ relative positions and movements.

Following the collision of Maersk Launcesto containership with the Hellenic Navy minesweeper Kallisto off Piraeus, its captain has been temporarily released from custody in Greece, as local authorities continue their investigation.
