Second officer found dead on Russian Ro-Ro ship

The second officer of the Russian Ro-Ro ship ‘IMAN’ was found dead, after Police in Toyama Shinko port, Honshu, Japan, was alerted on November 12 by the ship’s agent call.

According to sources, the officer was found dead in his ship’s cabin and had blood on his head.

After the police received the call by the ship’s agent it started an investigation and interviewed the vessel’s 20 crewmembers, who are all of Russian nationality.

The 1985 built Ro-Ro cargo ship is used for the transportation of second-hand Japanese cars to Russia.
