The San Marino Ship Register, in collaboration with the San Marino Maritime Authority launched the first training course on “Effective Approach to the San Marino Flag State Inspections.”
The initiative aims to enhance the expertise of Flag State inspectors by equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to conduct thorough and compliant inspections of San Marino-registered vessels.
The course is designed to ensure that all inspections adhere to international regulations and best practices, reinforcing San Marino’s commitment to maritime safety and compliance.
The training will cover the following key topics:
- Legal framework of the Flag State inspection
- How to effectively approach a Flag State inspection
- Identification of ships subject to inspection
- Authority to prevent a ship from sailing
According to the San Marino Ship Register, by providing knowledge and a structured approach to Flag State inspections, this course will contribute to maintaining safety standards within the San Marino fleet.
