The maritime industry offers both a fascinating and demanding career path. Due to its nature, many maritime professionals struggle to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Since people are at the heart of this industry, wellness concerns have become a key topic of discussion.
Efforts are focused on improving the five key aspects of wellness within the maritime sector: Social, Emotional, Physical, Intellectual, and Spiritual. To further explore this, SAFETY4SEA is once again launching the SEAFiT Barometer Survey, an industry-wide study running through Q1 and Q2 of 2025.
The survey aims to capture how maritime organizations approach wellness as a holistic, multidimensional process and how they encourage individuals to make healthy choices that support their success and well-being.
Notably, last year’s SAFETY4SEA SEAFiT Barometer Survey highlighted that a healthy lifestyle is a priority for many maritime organizations. However, further progress is needed by addressing all dimensions of wellness and implementing initiatives that enhance both work performance and overall well-being, despite ongoing challenges.
This year, the survey will further explore and assess the importance of various wellness factors in shaping organizations’ strategies and programs, providing valuable insights into industry best practices and areas for improvement.
We would greatly appreciate your participation in the SEAFiT Barometer Survey, which takes less than 4 minutes to complete. Share your valuable feedback by clicking here
