The Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) issues Worldwide Threat to Shipping (WTS) Report for the period25 August – 25 September 2013.
The Worldwide Threat to Shipping (WTS) message provides information on threats to, and criminal action against, merchant vessels worldwide in the last 30 days. This report is producedprimarily to inform merchant mariners and naval forces.
Summary
1. INDONESIA: On 23 September, an anchored tanker was boarded while at NipahAnchorage.
2. MALAYSIA: On 23 September, an underway offshore supply tug experienced a boardingapproximately 22 nm east-northeast of Pulau Tenggul.
3.INDONESIA:On 21 September, an anchored bulk freighter was boarded at SamarindaAnchorage.
4. PANAMA: On 31 August, an anchored catamaran experienced an attempted boarding atIsla Grande Anchorage.
