In 2024, Nakilat has achieved a considerable fleet expansion by signing contracts for the construction of six advanced gas carriers, including two LNG carriers and four LPG/Ammonia carriers.
The company also secured long-term agreements with QatarEnergy to charter and operate nine QC-Max LNG carriers, each with a capacity of 271,000 cubic meters, in addition to 25 conventional LNG carriers of 174,000 cubic meters. With these additions, Nakilat’s fleet will grow to 114 ships.
Eng. Abdullah Al-Sulaiti, Nakilat’s CEO, highlighted the company’s dedication to sustainable energy transportation solutions amid a rising demand for LNG transportation.
Additionally, the company reported a 7% increase in net profit, emphasizing its two decades of operational excellence in maritime services. Furthermore, Nakilat received a five-star rating from the British Safety Council for both Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Sustainability for multiple consecutive years.
