Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL) has officially launched “OceanCare,” a global wellbeing support program for seafarers aboard its vessels.
Starting May 1, 2025, the initiative offers confidential mental health and wellness services to MOL seafarers and their families, aiming to address the unique challenges faced by maritime workers. Developed in collaboration with the longstanding maritime charity The Mission to Seafarers (MtS) UK, the program features a dedicated Welfare Officer who serves as a confidential point of contact.
OceanCare includes professional counselling, support tailored for women seafarers, and wellbeing-focused training sessions.
This initiative is part of MOL’s broader sustainability strategy, emphasizing safety, inclusivity, and holistic care under its “Safety & Value” and “Human & Community” mission pillars.
