The LNG Merak is scheduled to be engaged in the Project's LNG transport from transshipment terminals in Europe to Asia LNG terminals.

For the records, the vessel has 295 meters length and 45 meters width, as is the second of four Yamal LNG Project's new LNG carriers, ordered by MOL and COSCO back in 2017.

Its sister is the LNG carrier "LNG Dubhe", which was also constructed in the same shipyard.

Moreover, LNG Merak came 12th in the list of MOL's LNG carriers fleet, as the company has been operating for other projects as well.

Concluding, about one month ago Yamal LNG plant produced more than 16.5 million tonnes of LNG from the beginning of 2019, surpassing its annual nameplate production capacity.
