In particular, Ince & Co notes that over the next decade, the shipping industry will be impacted by a wide array of shipping regulations, which aim to ensure that this vital sector is environmentally sound, energy efficient, safe and secure.
Ince & Co explains that, while some believe that these new requirements add an unwelcome additional burden on stakeholders, others believe they are vital to ensure a level and competitive playing field. Either way, the new regulations will create new opportunities for those who are prepared and operational risks for those who are not.
