Arkas Bunker has supplied its “Bio24F” biofuel to YM Inventive, a vessel operated by Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation, in Turkey.
This marks Arkas Bunker’s first biofuel delivery to a shipowner outside of Arkas Line, expanding its reach in the maritime sustainability sector. The YM Inventive received the ISCC-certified biofuel blend, derived from used cooking oil, while berthed at Kumport.
Seçkin Gül, General Manager of Arkas Bunker, expressed pride in Türkiye’s first biofuel supply to an external shipowner. He highlighted the company’s commitment to sustainability, stating:
This milestone allows us to showcase the benefits of our biofuel, Bio24F, which we’ve already used successfully on Arkas Line vessels. We are dedicated to supporting shipowners with tailored solutions for cleaner seas.
Arkas Bunker has previously supplied biofuel to its own vessels, including Matilde A in May 2024.
To commemorate the milestone, Arkas Bunker’s barge captain presented a plaque to the captain of YM Inventive.
