Amid COVID-19 outbreak situation, Indonesia updated its entry requirements for foreign seafarers, according to the latest information by GAC.
For Indian crew members coming to Indonesia to join their vessel, an E-Visa may be issued. However, they are required to quarantine for 14 days in India before entering Indonesia, and for another 8 days in the country before joining their ship. A No Objection Letter (NOC) from the police is compulsory.
Visa on arrival is still not available in Indonesia for Joiners/Superintendents from Afghanistan, Guinea, Israel, North Korea, Cameron, Liberia, Nigeria and Somalia.
Meanwhile, the below nationalities will be strictly monitored upon arrival at CGK Airport, Jakarta:
- India
- Pakistan
- Bangladesh
- Sri Lanka
- Nigeria
Concluding, there is possibility that crews may be repatriated, thus close coordination to related parties will be needed.
