According to Equinor an LPG leakage took place at one of the Mongstad facilities, on 10 December. The unit with the leak was shut down, while depressurizing operations were conducted.
On 10 December an LPG leakage happened at one of the Mongstad facilities. All personnel not involved in the emergency response work were evacuated, while all personnel have been accounted for.

Emergency shutdown and depressurising of the leaking unit were carried out , while authorities were notified and started securing the facility.
A little later the same day, the leakage had stopped and the situation was normalised. In addition, all personnel returned to the facility.
Equinor is currently investigating the cause of the gas leak.
As Equinor informed the facility produces naphtha, which is a component used in gasoline/petrol production.
