Cemre Shipyard launched the world’s first e-methanol-fueled service operation vessel (SOV), which provides carbon-neutral and environmentally friendly solutions.
In particular, NB1094 ESVAGT is equipped with battery and dual-fuel technology, which will reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 4,500 tonnes annually.
Additionally, the SOV will serve Hornsea 2, the world’s largest offshore wind farm, located off the Yorkshire coast in the North Sea, United Kingdom. Equipped with high comfort standards, NB1094 will have a crew capacity of 124.
As explained, considering the safety of the crew and technicians, it will also feature a motion-compensated platform to ensure safe transfers to the turbines.
