Vietnam National Shipping Lines Corporation (Vinalines) expressed its interest on joining the Global Shipping Alliances (GSA). Specifically, the company will improve its competitiveness by tending its focus on three vital sectors: the development of its port management, shipping, and the maritime services.
In order to ensure further growth and development, Vinalines will boost its collaboration with foreign container shipping companies, through transshipment on its deep-water ports.
The company also informed that goals to advance and modernize its fleet, by replacing up to 15 vessels, while invest in its infrastructure and new berths at the Lạch Huyện Port in Hải Phòng City, handling vessels up to 8.000 TEUs.
As Tran Tuan Hai, head of the Development Strategy and Communication Department of Vinalines highlighted, maritime services is one of the core segments that will bring great profits to the corporation.
Part of the company’s goals, is the cooperation with the Vietnam Logistics Business Association and other business associations in order to research and advise the Government to complete the legal framework for logistics management in Vietnam.
Moreover, Vinalines will also develop added-value services for customers and multimodal logistics services, expanding its service network through building a strong and wide network of agents in and outside Vietnam.
Concluding, finding new markets will play a major role in company’s plan in order to attract shipping industry to join in activities and provide package services to customers.
