A survey, commissioned and managed by the Seafarers International Relief Fund (SIRF) and the Ukraine Charity Co-ordination Group, into the welfare priorities of seafarers affected by the Ukraine crisis has shone a spotlight on the measures being taken to support seafarers and their families, as well as the most pressing priorities in the coming months.

While it is only one aspect of the highly complex seafarer welfare puzzle, connectivity is taking an increasingly central role at the heart of discussions about seafarers welfare.

The latest Seafarers Happiness Index report, published by The Mission to Seafarers, reveals that seafarer happiness levels are recovering, after reaching a record low last quarter. Overall happiness has increased from 5.85 to 7.21/10, with levels rising across all categories.
