In this context, we are happy to host an interview with Captain James Foong, a 33 years old Malaysian Master Mariner with 15 years of sailing experience.

Capt. Angelos Lekkas who has been working with Maran Gas Maritime since 2002, talks about the daily challenges of life at sea, highlighting how important is for shipping companies to invest in seaman welfare. ''Mental health on board is very critical and the industry shows to recognise that over the past years'' he comments. 

We are happy to host an interview with Capt. Ioanna Tzovara who has been working with Celebrity Cruises since 2018, being part of a great team which motivates her daily. In addition, she shares unique stories from her sailing experience while highlights that Internet is a necessity not a luxury; thus it should be available and accessible for everybody working at sea.

Yrhen Bernard Sabanal Balinis, Deck Officer at Martracon Group/ AST Shipping, shares his life-changer experience and explains why working at sea is a ‘continuous learning progress’.

We are happy to host an interview with Capt. Darjan Kopajtic who has been working with CMA CGM since 2012. Capt. Kopajtic says that working at sea provides a unique experience; nonetheless this career has many responsibilities and is fulfilled with pressure and stress from the very first till day crew sign off.

Capt. Maria Agius has been working with Celebrity Cruises since 2015. Capt. Agius acknowledges fatigue as a key challenge for life onboard; nonetheless, there are several ways of tackling fatigue and essentially ensuring the wellbeing of all seafarers onboard, she says.

Capt. Maria Koliou has been working with Celebrity Cruises since 2017. Before joining Celebrity Cruises, she worked with Anangel Maritime Services for seven years. Capt. Koliou sailed for the first time in 2010 and she shares her experience, highlighting that  working at sea is adventurous and demanding but also one of a kind experience.

In this context, we are happy to host an interview with Capt Ayse Asli Basak, who has been working with Mid-Ship Group LLC since 2016. Being currently a Port Captain, she is attending the vessels at ports, supervising the operations but she shares with us what she misses most about her seagoing experience and challenges faced.
