The Greek Ministry of Tourism along with the Cyprus Shipping Deputy Ministry attended a meeting and discussed several issues concerning the maritime tourism and the new ferry connection line between the two regions, which is estimated to start during summer 2020.

Intra Mare announced that will provide its support to the GreenStream’s machine learning-based vessel performance optimisation software in Greece. Specifically, the machine platform will use all the available data to measure vessels' fuel consumption in order to boost their performance by saving fuel cost and reducing emissions.

The eight crew members that were abducted from the Greek-flagged "Happy Lady" tanker while at Limboh port in Cameroon have been released. The attack had taken place in the end of December.

Japan Club publishes the fines that Greece imposes in case of marine pollution. The fines are separated into two categories, the first one being until December 30 2019, and the second one from 31 December 2019.

On Saturday 18 January, a new organization named as "Sino-Hellenic Investors' Confederation" made its official launching ceremony. Specifically, the confederation goals to facilitate Chinese investors in Greece, while give a boost to both countries' cooperation.
