Taiwan’s Evergreen Marine is celebrating a standout year by awarding stellar bonuses to some of its staff. Namely, local media reported that the company is handing out year-end bonuses equal to 50 months salary, or more than four years’ pay.

The Maryland Board of Pilots decided to enact a rule change that forbids on-duty pilots from using their phones, after the grounding of the Ever Forward in Chesapeake Bay.

The Ever Forward containership was successfully refloated on Sunday, 17 April 2022, from the bottom of the Chesapeake Bay more than a month after it ran aground.

The lightering operations of the containership Ever Forward which still remains firmly aground in the Chesapeake Bay has began on April 9 and continues during the daylight hours each day.
