ShipMoney announced that it extended its Maritime Payment Services Agreement with Helikon Shipping into a long-term multi-year relationship. The last years Helicon has been using the digital currency to pay wages to crewmembers onboard.

The Russian Ministry of Transport signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with A.P. Moller - Maersk, launching TradeLens in Russia. Massterly, a ship manager who will operate unmanned vessels via a manned Shore Control Center builds, aspires to see a more sustainable maritime transportation. The unmanned ships will be 100% electrically powered and the battery will be charged when the ship is at shore.

Navis, a provider of operational technologies and services, announced that it provided 31 automated rail-mounted gantry cranes to Five Continents International Container Terminal (FICT), all of them already operating on its N4 terminal operating system. The retrofitting of the 31 automated RMGs was completed in a record time, with the intelligent equipment going live on April 30, 2019.
