The discovery of 11 survivors who had been adrift at sea for three days has provided a glimmer of hope, bolstering efforts to locate the remaining individuals.
On 9th March, a vessel carrying 37 crew members sank near Selayar Island in South Sulawesi province, as reported by the search and rescue agency.
Fishermen discovered 11 survivors wearing life jackets on 12th March. Tragically, two additional crew members were found deceased.
The vessel, which set sail from Jakarta on 3rd March bound for the waters near Lombok Island, approximately 1,000 km away, encountered adverse weather conditions midway through its journey.
