EUROPORT the leading international exhibition that will take place in Rotterdam November 5-8, 2019, is partnering with SAFETY4SEA to stage a series of special awards concentrating on four specific themes – digital shipping; environmental protection; safety at sea and maritime careers – with the aim of encouraging excellence and innovation and fostering Safe, Smart, Green & Sustainable Shipping.
In particular, there will be a total of 20 Awards presented at events to be held on each of the exhibition days, with five categories within each of the four thematic headings.
- SMART4SEA – EUROPORT Awards ceremony is due on 5th November with awards on e-navigation, cyber security, initiative, technology and ship operator.
- GREEN4SEA – EUROPORT Awards ceremony is due on 6th November with awards on energy efficiency, clean shipping, initiative, technology & ship operator
- SAFETY4SEA – EUROPORT Awards ceremony is due on 7th November with awards on sustainability, training, initiative, technology & ship operator
- CAREER4SEA – EUROPORT Awards ceremony is due on 8th November with awards on education, investment in shipping, initiative, women in shipping and new generation.

We are excited to announce a new collaboration with EUROPORT, one of the world’s leading maritime events, with the inaugural SAFETY4SEA-EUROPORT awards. We are looking forward to celebrating distinguished efforts by industry stakeholders and acknowledging significant contribution toward a safer, smarter, greener and more sustainable shipping in this key meeting place.
The process includes a combination of open nomination and voting which provides a unique opportunity for all nominees to get acknowledged for the hard and good work they put into their projects and initiatives, worth to be awarded. At the end of the awards presentations, there will be a panel discussion with the winners.
The awards are open to organisations and individuals participating in EUROPORT as exhibitors or partners, or which are based, or operating with an office in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden or United Kingdom.
The deadline for the online nominations for all award categories is Friday June 14th and the shortlist will be announced on June 20th. Then, online voting will be available up to Monday September 30rd at https://europort.safety4sea.com/ where participants can cast their votes.
