In light of the coronavirus outbreak, Russia has reportedly announced that every vessel arriving at the Black Sea ports of Novorossiisk and Yuzhnaya Ozereyevka from Iran, Italy and South Korea has to be disinfected, a document seen by Reuters showed.
According to reports, the Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor) ordered port authorities to arrange the disinfection operations for the vessels before the border in the city of Novorossiisk opens. Although, Rospotrebnadzor has still not confirmed anything.
At the same time, it is yet unknown how the ships will be disinfected within their arrival.
As Reuters further reported, not many vessels were arriving in the above-mentioned countries, but following the coronavirus situation, delays are obviously possible.
