Specifically, the 135-meter vessel ‘Viking Idun’ was injured when she collided with the 134-meter Chemical Marketer.

Because of the collision, both vessels had damages above the waterline.
Viking Idun suffered damage to her bow and has been towed to Terneuzen in the Netherlands.
There are no pollution signs in the area of the incident and local authorities have indicated that Chemical Marketer’s cargo remains in tact.
Moreover, the factors that caused the collision remain unknown, and the situation is under investigation.
However, the collision incident follows the Viking Ocean Cruises cruise ship, Viking Sky that suffered engine failure during heavy weather off Norway.
