The commercial Port of Vladivostok will receive five new port cranes in 2020. The equipment will be acquired as part of the modernization of production facilities, which aims to increase the intensity of cargo handling.
According to the contracts, the commercial Port of Vladivostok will receive 4 port cranes and one portal crane. The cranes are designed to handle cargo of various nomenclature at the Universal Terminal. They will also increase productivity, reduce loading and discharge time, and rise processing speed by 15-20% compared with today’s capacity.

The 4 port cranes will be installed at berths 6 and 13 of the Universal Terminal. Each crane will have a capacity of up to 63 tons, while the maximum reach of the boom would be up to 40 meters. The equipment enables the work with any kind of cargo and will be manufactured in St. Petersburg.
The portal crane will be handling bulk and piece cargo and will be installed at berth 9. Its carrying capacity is up to 124 tons, with a maximum reach of the boom of up to 48 m. The crane will have the largest carrying capacity at the commercial Port of Vladivostok equipment park.
The new equipment will be added to the current 26 cranes of the Universal Terminal of commercial Port of Vladivostok, featuring a lifting capacity from 16 to 100 tons.
