North P&I Club’s correspondents Gargoum Group Co and Shtewi Legal & Pandi Services provided updates on port and terminal status in Libya.
Amid the current volatile conditions in Libya, North P&I Club issued an update to inform shipowners, operators and individuals about the port and terminal status in the region, reporting the following:
OPEN:
- Tobruk Port: Open for oil export and general cargoes. Some delays can be expected due to Marsa El Hariga working hours only from 09:00 to 15:00.
- Misurata Port: Operating normally. Some delays can be expected due to working hours only from 09:00 to 17:00.
- Khoms Port: Open for cargo vessels except livestock vessels. Some delays can be expected due to working hours only from 09:00 to 17:00.
- Tripoli Port: Operating normally. Some delays can be expected due to working hours only from 09:00 to 17:00.
- Zawia Oil Terminal: Operating normally. Some delays can be expected due to working hours only from 09:00 to 17:00.
- Mellitah Port: Operating normally. Some delays can be expected due to working hours only from 09:00 to 17:00.
- Bouri Offshore Terminal: Operating normally. Some delays can be expected due to working hours only from 09:00 to 17:00.
- Zuitina Terminal: Open for oil export and general cargoes. Some delays can be expected due to working hours only from 09:00 to 15:00.
- Marsa El Brega Port: Open for oil export and general Cargo. Some delays can be expected due to working hours only from 09:00 to 15:00.
- Ras Lanuf Terminal: NOC force majeure lifted in October 2020. For General Cargo some berthing delays reported. Some delays can be expected due to working hours only from 09:00 to 15:00.
- El Sidra Oil Terminal: NOC force majeure lifted in October 2020. Some delays can be expected due to working hours only from 09:00 to 15:00.
RESTRICTED
- Benghazi Port: Operating normally except for a ban on crude exports. Some delays can be expected due to working hours only from 09:00 to 15:00.
- Khoms Port: No livestock vessels due to COVID-19 .
- Zuwara Port: Fishing vessels only. Some Ro-Ro vessels have reportedly called. Some delays can be expected due to working hours only from 09:00 to 17:00.
- Derna Port: Libyan tankers delivering diesel only. Some delays can be expected due to working hours only from 09:00 to 15:00.
- Port of SIRTE: Closed
As informed, the restricted working hours due to the COVID-19 situation do not apply to vessels carrying food, detergents or pharmaceuticals.
