Market parties, knowledge institutes and public and semi-public organisations in Rotterdam have joined forces to put innovation firmly on the map. The port has created the following interactive infographic to give a good idea of the Rotterdam Innovation Ecosystem. It shows who are leading the innovation hub and includes an efficient and easy way to find information and contact details.
The interactive map provides insight into the wide range of possibilities offered by Rotterdam’s innovation ecosystem. This further strengthens Rotterdam’s unique position as an innovation hub and as the link between the port and the city. Creating a clear picture of which parties can be found within this ecosystem, allows us to bring them together and retain them for the city. This accelerates innovations in the region and provides new opportunities for attracting interesting parties, and thus jointly generates more new business for Rotterdam.

The interactive ecosystem map is an initiative of the Municipality of Rotterdam, the Port of Rotterdam Authority, Rotterdam Partners and the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship. Together, they are working to connect and strengthen every party that plays a role in Rotterdam’s innovation ecosystem, so that they can step up the pace of innovation in the region.
