The injured crew member of the Greek-flagged tanker “Happy Lady” returned to Greece on 7 January, about a week after the ship became subject of a piracy attack while at Limboh port in Cameroon. The piracy attack on 31 December 2019 resulted to the abduction of eight crew members.
During the piracy invasion, the 35-year old Greek engineer of the vessel ended up injured and was hospitalized.
He arrived on 7 January early in the morning at “Eleftherios Venizelos” Athens Airport, where he thanked the tanker’s company and his family for their support during those rough times.
After the engineer’s arrival, an ambulance transported him to the hospital in order to provide him medical care.
