The Houthi rebels have reiterated their threats against Israeli shipping until crossings to the Gaza Strip are reopened and aid is permitted to enter.
On a statement released to the media and shipping entities, the Yemeni Armed Forces have announced the immediate resumption of a ban on the passage of all Israeli vessels in the designated operational area, which includes the Red and Arabian Seas, Bab al-Mandeb Strait, and the Gulf of Aden.
As stated, any Israeli vessel attempting to violate this ban will be subject to military targeting within the declared operational area. The ban will remain in effect until crossings to the Gaza Strip are reopened and humanitarian aid, including food and medical supplies, is permitted to enter.
Therefore, vessels that are wholly owned by Israeli individuals or entities, and/or sailing the Israeli flag, are prohibited from transiting through the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, and the Gulf of Aden, starting at 11:55 PM on March 11, 2025, Yemen Standard Time (Yemen Time, UTC+3), which is equivalent to 08:55 PM UTC.
