HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (HD KSOE) has developed an integrated scrubber technology for ammonia-fueled vessels, aiming to enhance safety.
As informed, this scrubber technology absorbs emitted ammonia, reducing emissions significantly. The company has also designed exhaust outlets away from crew quarters for added safety. Furthermore, the company has also revealed its ‘AI system for Ship Management’ and ‘Remote Drone System’.
HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering emphasized that when applying these systems to ammonia-powered ships, even fine leakages can be detected in real time, preventing accidents from occurring in advance.
