According to Yonhap news agency, Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. and Port of Rotterdam shake their hands and inked an agreement in order to develop ship-related smart technologies.
Through their collaboration, South Korea’s second-largest shipbuilder Daewoo Shipbuilding will conduct a study focused on smartships suitable for digitized ports and autonomous operations.
What is more, along with Port of Rotterdam, both sides goal to dominate the future autonomous ship market over the next three years.
Port of Rotterdam has been widely known as the world’s best digitized port, Daewoo Shipbuilding reported to Yonhap.
Overall, Rotterdam recently signed an agreement with Agensi Inovasi Malaysia (AIM), Regal Lands Sdn. Bhd. (REGAL), Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad (BPHB) to develop a Biohub Industrial Port.
