In support of the IMO’s Neptune Declaration and the welfare of seafarers around the world, the Shipping Deputy Ministry of Cyprus is making vaccinations available to seafarers.
Namely, seafarers working on board ships flying the Cyprus flag or managed by companies based there, have the opportunity to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
As informed, the Oxford/AstraZeneca (now Vaxzevria) or Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccines are being provided on a first come, first served basis.

Speaking of seafarers’ vaccination, the Netherlands is piloting a scheme aiming to vaccinate seafarers of all nationalities that are calling at the port of Rotterdam.
In fact, the pilot project by the Netherlands comes after Belgium which has started vaccinating all international seafarers calling at the ports Antwerp, Ghent and Zeebrugge.
