Seafarer filed a lawsuit on March 25 in the Galveston County Court a shipping company, after sustaining injuries while working aboard.
He cited negligence and gross negligence.
The plaintiff states he sustained serious injuries when a heavy object dropped on his head and shoulder in the engine room.
The seafarer is seeking an undisclosed amount in damages, including punitive damages.
