The Port Captain in Colombia’s Port of Barranquilla has issued a notice with regard to draft restrictions for the vessels entering or sailing from the port, according to information provided by Maritime Authority of Columbia (DIMAR).
This comes in line with the permanent monitoring carried out with daily bathymetries to the access channel, the technical analyzes and the variation of the corresponding ocean-atmospheric conditions to the wet season.
In addition, taking into consideration the high sedimentation due to atmospheric factors, and the progress of the dredging work, the maximum entry and exit drafts of the vessels are as follows:
