From a cadet to Chief Engineer, Dmitriy Agafonov has seen a remarkable transformation in his career. With a wealth of knowledge gained over his tenure at sea, Dmitriy underlines that salary should not be the sole motivation for choosing a maritime career. Instead, he finds value in the structured schedule of his work, which affords him time for fitness, leisure activities, and engaging conversations with fellow crew members.

Dmitriy highlights the critical importance of internet connectivity on ships, a tool that enables constant communication with family, enhancing the well-being of seafarers and their loved ones. He advocates for broader access to high-speed internet, emphasizing its necessity in the modern seafaring experience.
