In the latest of its new series of videos, CHIRP provides advisable practices for seafarers to enhance safety at sea, reporting specifically safety issues resulting from two separate cases: tug handling and windlasses operation.
As noted, in both cases, communication or lack of it plays a key role.
The videos are an initiative launched by CHIRP and sponsored by the Standard P&I Club, as part of CHIRP’s mission to promote safety awareness amongst seafarers.
